Ekiti Art & Culture DG, Ojo Lanre Led Troupe To Budapest For “Nigeria at 59”

Ekiti State Standing Cultural Troupe has landed in Budapest for an intercontinental cultural event organized in Hungary.

The team which is led by the Director General Council for Arts and Culture, Amb Wale Ojo Lanre The troupe will be performing at a cultural event organized by the Nigerian Embassy in Hungary to mark Nigeria’s 59th Independence Day Speaking with our reporter on phone, Amb Wale Ojo Lanre,said “

Thank God we arrived safely and we thank our ever dynamic and responsible Governor , Dr. Kayode Fayemi and the first lady for believing in us and supporting our program.

He said further that “our cultural troupe is fully prepared to thrill the international audience with electrifying performances at the even.

As you are aware “ Dr Kayode Fayemi is committed to the rejuvenation, promotion and development of Arts and culture in the state and we at the council have resolved to compliment his value re-orientation policy.

“ In the last few months, His Excellency and his wife have empowered the council to initiate ideas, and embark on talent discovery and empowerment, transformation of Ekiti Arts and Crafts from mere entertainment to tools for economic development and others

Ambassador Ojo Lanre disclosed that the Governor has also approved the participation of Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture at NAFEST scheduled to hold in Edo State as well as Abuja Carnival 2019 He revealed that ” we are also preparing to host the World in Ekiti in the second week of December when EKIFEST 2019 will come alive.
