“I can assure you that Ibadan S/W LG will be collaborating with Ufitfly in term of palliative measure and also partners with them to promote culture and tourism in the state and Nigeria at large”. He concluded.

In the same vein, Ufitfly boss, Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkeyede described the present situation in the Nigeria and rest of world as pitiful, sorrowful and pathetic.

Ogunkeyede said that the present situation has showed the high level of poverty in Nigeria, therefore, required joint effort to rectify the situation.

The team leader, who noted that despite the business is down, he had spent over N800,000 in the course of the force holiday by coronavirus pandemic, commended Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere for believing in the mission and vision of the company.

“Well, it is obvious that there is high rate of poverty in the land. Before, we used to think that the poverty rate is manageable but with what happened this morning, it is overwhelming”. He said

“This signifies that we should not wait until pandemic occurs before we extend gesture like this people. It is a pathetic and sorrowful situation but we thank God that we are able to see support from a wonderful man, who believe in us and our vision,” Evangelist Ogunkeyede stated.

The Founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Gift Chinyere, while addressing the journalist said that the gesture is to support the government because they cannot do it alone.

He explained that his ministry has extended same gesture in different locations in Nigeria especially in the South-South and South-East which includes Abia, Rivers and Anambrs States.

“We decided to extend it to the South West even though; we don’t have a church in Ibadan to make it for everybody irrespective of tribe and religion. We have been doing this for a long time, we have free schools, free restaurant and specialist hospital, these are achieving with no support from anywhere but from the offerings and tithes from the church” Apostle Chibuzor stated.

“I have said it and I will repeat here again, when we started the first school in over 10 years ago, some people were asking if it is sustainable, and I said if it is God’s projects, God will sustain it, we have 14 schools now and still counting. The point is that the funds are coming from offerings and tithes from the church, it is God’s money and we decided to use for the God’s people. We don’t have NGOs, I repeat, there is no NGO whether it is local or international that is partnering with OPM. It is not that we don’t welcome partnership, our hands are open for the partnership,” Apostle Chibuzor concluded.

He then called on other well-meaning indigenes of the state to support the efforts of the government in reducing the economic effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the people.

He also enjoined residents of the state to adhere strictly to the preventive measures outlined by the government in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
