The All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the House of Representatives, Ibadan NorthWest/ SouthWest Federal Constituency, Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku stole show at the national convention of the party on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
Ajanaku who had earlier joined the Oyo State Governor, Senator Ajimobi and other leaders at the Governor’s lodge became the cynosure of all eyes on his arrival.
As he stepped into the venue, the ovation was loud, chanting by supporters as his name’ Ajanaku’’ rented the air; even in the presence of the honourable members . Ajanaku’s well-wishers and praise singers were not discouraged by downpour.
Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku had earlier sponsored his teeming followers to the convention. This according to a source is unprecedented. Rotimi Ajanaku’s arrangement for his people was impressive and fascinating, even the occupant of the office has failed by denying them full benefits of representation.
Buttressing Ajanaku’s magnanimity, Mr Akinfewa, a delegate from Ibadan North said our aspirant for House of Representatives has travelled abroad, we came to the convention on the bill of a governorship aspirant with a belief that a new dawn has come.
Another source from Oyo Central Senatorial District said: our aspirant for Oyo Central Senatorial “ IRE DE’’ Hon. Bimbo Kolade sponsored us to the convention on his bill and we were well taken care of, he has been a wonderful cheerful giver who meant well for the masses , this assured us to support his aspiration.
After a long process, Chairman of the National Convention Committee, Governor Abubakar Mohammed (Jigawa State), revealed the names of candidates that have won their elections so far.
Earlier, former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole was affirmed the new APC National Chairman by members of the party while and 17 aspirants won other offices unopposed.

Inuwa Abdulkadri – National Vice Chairman (North-west) (won by 1,552 votes)
George Mohgalu – National Auditor
Isah Mabuchu – Deputy National Auditor (won by 2,675 votes)
Victor Geidam – Deputy National Secretary (won by 3,498 votes)
Ibrahim Waziri – National Vice Chairman (North-east) (won by 4,450 votes)
